Reverend Deborah Griffith answered the call to ministry in 1996. Deborah attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where she received her Master of Divinity degree. While in seminary, she was appointed to Mt. Berry United Methodist Church in Rome, Georgia where she remained until 2004. Her second appointment was to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Monroe, Georgia. Deborah was appointed to Bethelview UMC in 2006.
Reverend Griffith resides in Cumming, Georgia with her three furry children, Simon, Hannah and Bella, mutts she has rescued. She has two sons who are both married, David and Sara, and Jonathan and Amy. David is the Director of the Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry at North Georgia College in Dahlonega and Jonathan, along with his wife serve as missionaries in Costa Rica. Deborah also has five grandchildren.
Reverend Griffith has a B.S. in Education from Mercer University. She has studied music and sung with the Douglas County Chorale and given vocal concerts throughout Georgia. Pastoral ministry is her passion.
